Mohair or Nylon?
Mohair provides a much better glide action because there is reduced friction on the snow; however they tend to wear out much more quickly. Nylon has long been used by many leading brands because of its greater durability and lower cost. However, tests show that in colder conditions they will be more likely to ‘ball up’.
As a result many brands have gone for a mohair/nylon mix. In the end it is a personal choice.
